Upgrading My Transportation

After driving an old, beat-up car for years, I finally made the decision to upgrade my transportation. I had set aside a little money every month to use as a down payment, and I was ready to make a new car my own. I searched loads of car dealerships in my area, but one business stood out to me in particular. The salespeople were kind and not pushy, and they had a reputation for fair deals. I worked with them to find the right car, and the paperwork was a breeze. This blog is all about upgrading your transportation, and why you shouldn't be afraid to take the plunge.

Renting A Party Bus For A Bachelorette Party? These Tips Guarantee A Fun Time!

Lauri Kivela

Renting a party bus is a great way to get from place to place on a bachelorette party night! You don't have to worry about anyone driving under the influence, and you don't have to divide the girls between cars, either. With a party bus, the ride from place to place becomes part of the fun. As the girl in charge of planning the bride-to-be's crazy night on the town, follow these tips to make it an enjoyable as possible.

Create a playlist prior to the event.

Many party buses will have a sound system that allows you to hook up your phone or mp3 player and blast your own music. To ensure you can jam out to all of your favorite tunes, work on creating a playlist before the night of the bachelorette party. You can email all of the girls who will be attending and ask each one to submit 3 or 4 of her favorite tunes. Make sure you include plenty of the bride's favorites, too!

Have the bus arrive a little early so you can decorate.

Some rental companies will provide some basic decorations for you, but if you want to ensure the decorations fit the bride's preferences, it is best to do this on your own. Schedule the party bus to arrive about a half hour before you actually plan on leaving your initial meeting place. Ask a few of the girls to show up early and help you decorate. You can hang pictures of the bride, some risque posters of attractive men, and colorful streamers. Use your imagination! The decor will help set the mood.

Pack the bus with pre-made drinks.

Call the party bus company ahead of time to ensure they permit drinking in the vehicle. Most do, but there might be a few exceptions. Once you're sure drinking is allowed, focus on pre-mixing some drinks so you don't have to fiddle with mixing cocktails while you're riding along and risk spilling your beverages on your fancy dresses.

You can premix simple cocktails like gin and juice, rum and pineapple juice, and rum and coke in large bottles. Making jello shots is also a great idea, since they won't spill and are fun to eat.

Have a route planned in advance.

You might think you'll just drive around from bar to bar, making decisions as you go -- but this strategy rarely goes smoothly. You don't want to end up fighting about which bar to go to next on the night of the party. Talk to the bride before the party, and get a list of the places she absolutely wants to visit on her bachelorette night. Then, use an online map tool to find the most direct route between those bars. Give the other girls a list of the bars and other destinations you'll be visiting so they know what to expect. Make sure you fill your driver in, too!

Pack plenty of snacks.

After a night of dancing, drinking and having an all-around good time, you can be pretty confident you'll have the munchies! You don't want to have to rely on finding a place that's open and has food everyone can agree on late at night. Packing snacks for the ride home takes care of this issue. Some tasty snacks to consider include:

  • Pre-cut fruit, such as pineapple and melon
  • Pre-made subs (consider ordering a party sub from a local sub shop or grocery store and picking it up early in the day so you can bring it along in a cooler)
  • Cupcakes (topped with bachelorette-themed decorations if you prefer)

Riding around in a party bus is a great way to celebrate a bachelorette night. With the tips above, you, the bride, and all the guests are sure to create lasting memories. Contact a company like A&A Limousine & Bus Services to get started.
